Electric League Monthly Luncheon and Networking Event:
"Building Tomorrow's Downtown Bellevue"
presented by Leslie Lloyd, Bellevue Downtown Association.
At last month's Electric League Luncheon, someone counted 17 construction cranes on their way through Bellevue. Anyone who has driven through downtown over the past few months has certainly noticed the development, huge holes in the ground, and cranes! If you stay away for more than a week or two, your can turn a corner and find an entire block of familiar buildings gone!
Leslie Lloyd, President of the Bellevue Downtown Association, will provide an overview of the planning which led to Bellevue targeting downtown for some 70 percent of its population growth management act, the rsults of this action, and a review of projects underway to fill all those giant holes in the ground.
Through 25 years in the real estate development industry, Leslie has played the roles of developer, consultant, organization manager and city planner. The past five years mark her tenure as president of the Bellevue Downtown Association. Prior to joining BDA, Leslie ran point as a development manager for Vulcan Real Estate. She also led development efforts for Quadrant Corporation, served as Program Director for the Ferris Company, and managed permits as a Land Use Specialist for the City of Seattle.
The luncheon site is the Sheraton Hotel in Bellevue @ 100 - 112th Avenue NE, Bellevue 98004-5817. Registration begins at 11:30 and lunch is served at 12:00. Time for questions follows the presentation.
