IMPORTANT: The November 19 Code and Standards Committee Meeting will be in the FORUM ROOM in the EST BUILDING at Puget Sound Energy. This is the eastern-most building of the two buildings. Please note directions below.

What is the Electric League Code and Standards Committee?

The Code and Standards Committee meets monthly to discuss the status of National, State, and Local Electrical Codes, Utility Company standards and requirements, UL and NEMA standards, Energy Codes, Electrical Products and other issues related to Electrical systems design, installation and operation. Committee participants include representatives from engineering, contracting, product manufacturing, State and City inspection, Utility companies, and any interested parties. At any given meeting, 20 different perspectives and specialties may be represented.

Several committee members participate on Code writing panels and discussions include alerts on new issues, attempts to resolve conflicts on existing codes, and sharing experiences concerning electrical and safety items.

Bring YOUR questions and problems for consideration at this meeting or as a suggestion for a future meeting topic! Everyone is welcome!

When does this group meet?

The Code and Standards Committee meets the third Wednesday of the month, September through June. There are coffee shops nearby (in the PSE Building just west of the EST Building) - donuts are provided at 7:10 a.m. The meeting begins at 7:30 a.m. and concludes at 9:00 a.m. The next Electric League Code and Standards Committee Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 19. Minutes from the previous meeting, and an agenda for the upcoming meeting, are sent via an email distribution list a few days prior to the meeting date. Meeting Location for November 19:

The Forum Room is located in the Puget Sound Energy EST Building, 355 110th Avenue NE, Bellevue, 98004. The Forum Room is located in the SE corner on the lobby level. Go past the reception counter and along the hallway following that wall to the room, which is clearly marked.

Parking:

Underground parking is available in the PSE parking garage for $9.00 for 1-2 hours and $11.00 for 2-3 hours. Park near the EAST elevator and proceed to the lobby. Free 2-hour parking should be available early in the morning on side streets immediately south of the PSE complex. Access to the parking garage is only via 110th street due to construction at the 108th entrance.
