Join us for the Electric League's Monthly Luncheon Meeting and Networking Event, Thursday, January 17, 2008, at Puget Sound Energy's Auditorium in the Conference Center Building, 355 110th Avenue NE, Bellevue, 98004. Check-in begins at 11:30 with buffet beginning at 11:45, followed by announcements and our speakers. The meeting adjourns in the vicinity of 1:00 p.m. Be sure to park on levels P5 - P7 of the parking garage - parking vouchers provided.

Advance registration and payment is required, and is being accepted now. Please assist in our planning by registering early. League Members: $25 Non-Members $30 A late fee applies for registrations received after Tuesday, January 15.

JANUARY SPEAKER AND TOPIC: "Identity Theft" presented by Susan K. Storey, Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, King County

Presentation:

Storey gives presentations to citizens and on identity theft and reducing the risk of becoming an identity theft victim, and has done several television and radio shows on the subject. She also trains law enforcement with respect to identity theft investigations and is faculty at the National Center for Prosecution of Identity Crimes. In addition, Storey developed the King County Prosecutor's Office brochure titled "Protect Yourself From Identity Theft," and "Identity Theft Tips for Individuals and Business". Speaker Bio:

A criminal prosecutor since 1986, Susan Storey currently works in the Complex Prosecutions and Investigations Division of the King County Prosecutor's Office where she has extensive experience assisting and guiding law enforcement investigations. Storey has handled hundreds of serious cases, including numerous complex, sensitive, long-term, and undercover investigations and prosecutions. Storey is a member of the National Identity Fraud WrokingGroup Fostering Increased Public/Private Cooperation, sponsored by the National District Attorneys' Association and several major financial institutions. She also serves at the American Prosecutor's Research Institute as an advisor on Identity Theft issues. Storey chairs Washington LEGIT (Law Enforcement Group against Identity Theft), a statewide group of police chiefs, sheriffs, prosecutors, business, and financial industry executives working to reduce identity theft in Washington, and serves on the Washington State Attorney General's Advisory Committee on Identity Theft.
